Oops!

Okay, so, I spoke too soon. Now Oren has the virus, so do Alan, Mamaw, Valerie, Uncle Curt, Franny-B and who knows who else may have gotten this plague! Sorry everyone. I pray you and your family do not get this aweful sickness!

What A Week!

This past week our plans were to take the kids to Baton Rouge to stay with my mom while we went to West Palm Beach Florida with the youth to camp. Unfortunately plans were changed.
On our way to Florida I received a call on my cell phone. My mom was taking Bethany to the doctor. She was admitted into the hospital and stayed there for 4 days. She ended up having a virus, but the virus was making her intestines spasm, which is not good for a Hirschsprung's patient. Once we arrived in West Palm Beach I flew back to Baton Rouge to be with Bethany. I'm so glad that I went back because once I got there my mom had the virus and my step dad's mom was put into the hospital in Shreveport. Since everyone was sick, Alex went to Eunice to stay with Oren's parents where Alex got the virus and passed it on to his cousin, Lucie (who passed it on to all of her dad's family). Laura and her girls left Baton Rouge and arrived back home in Shreveport with the virus. I eventually caught it and passed it on to my Aunt Dana. Babaw's birthday bash was on Sunday, he turned 90, so while we were in Eunice we all gave the virus to my dad. So, be aware everyone this virus is potent. Days after we thought we were well we seemed to still be carrying the germs. (I don't think we are dangerous anymore because we have not passed anything to Oren!)

Our Beach Vacation

We traveled to Alabama on Friday after spending the night with Grammy on Thursday. We finally got to Blue Water Condominiums around supper time. After supper we had to take Alex to the beach, of course it was dark, but he had a blast anyway! He and Sarah Grace tried to catch crabs and we saw a baby shark that a little boy caught. Bethany was afraid. She did not like the sand and she was terrified of the water. She would not let us put her down and when we did she would run straight toward the Condo.

When we got to the beach on Saturday, Bethany had no more fear. She loved the sand and even led me to the water. We had a lot of fun and Alex is ready to go back.

After doing the beach thing Leighe' and Emmanuel had a vow renewal service. It was very nice.

Camping Trip

We had a lot of fun camping. It is a trip that we will never forget. I can already picture the kids being in middle school talking about our first camping trip. We learned a lot so our next trip will be even better.

Next time we talk, Alex will have to tell you about our encounter with the "wild" cat and the racoon! Oren and I will have to explain why we got home at 12:15 am. Like I said, it was fun ,but it will be a trip that we will not soon forget!
